THERE IS NO RIGHT OF REDEMPTION AFTER FORECLOSURE SALE IN FLORIDA - CONTRARY TO FLORIDA REALTORS ARTICLE

The Florida Association of Realtors published yesterday an article called The Basic Steps of Foreclosure, picked up from the Detroit Free Press. It lists the 7 stages of a typical foreclosure. Unfortunately, although these 7 steps may be valid somewhere – they are incorrect in Florida. In fact the last step does not exist in Florida. My thanks to Cheryl Link, Esq., General Counsel to…See More

This is a clarification of the prior 2010 law that opened up a statutory method for associations to stop providing services to delinquent owners when the owner is collecting rent yet not paying the association. Each one of them is completely wrong.Recognition of JudgmentGenerally, the "recognition" of a foreign judgment occurs when the court of one country or state accepts a judicial decision made by the courts of…See More

DO I HAVE TO BE DELINQUENT FOR THE BANK TO TALK TO ME?

Would you jump out of an airplane being told by a stranger that you had a parachute but with you not really knowing you had a parachute? I should have a nickel for each time a person tells me they stopped paying their mortgage so their lender would speak to them. If you are trying to do a short sale, loan modification or deed in lieu of foreclosure, whether or not to stop paying your mortgage is the certainly the first question asked.
