Carve your turns!
Recently I visited a friend in Stratton Vermont for a long weekend. He had mentioned to me that, "in the east, the snow is harder, so skiers should be stronger, but everyone skids thier turns". With today's new equipment, skis will hold much better, even on eastern hard pack. The key is learning how to balance on an edged ski. When my children were young, it was as simple as saying, "I want to see the bottoms of your skis", when below them on the hill. They didn't think about rolling…

We're still skiing in Vail! Plus real estate is coming on.
Considering the lean natural snow mother nature has given us, Vail has been serving up some pretty descent man made. The word on the streets during the holidays was many satisfied guests knowing things were lean. Interesting that end of the year figures for real estate sales showed December was at $124,000,000.00 putting Eagle County over 1 billion for the year. As a comparison, in 2007, total sales were about 2.5 billion in gross $$.
